CHEECH & CHONG - Still Smoking !

A FEW weeks into their first tour together in almost three decades, during a performance in Las Vegas, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong took a break from their comedy skits about counterculture, rebelliousness and drugs so that Mr. Chong could perform a stand-up set about counterculture, rebelliousness and drugs.

Mr. Chong, 70, was delivering his routine when he saw Mr. Marin, 62, grimacing and waving at him from offstage.

In his meandering, hey-dude drawl, Mr. Chong recalled, “I realized I did the same joke twice.”

“I was shouting at him,” Mr. Marin said. “I was like, ‘No, no! Not that one, no!’ ”

But the audience forgave the repetition and laughed anyway. It might have been because of Mr. Chong’s age, or because, as he said, “I’m a stoner.”

It took a quarter of a century, five presidential administrations, two divorces and a nine-month prison sentence, but Cheech & Chong, those lovable lowlifes of comedy who broke up in 1985 to pursue solo opportunities and get away from each other, have at last reunited.

Sure, they may now carry BlackBerrys and look like your grandfather (if your grandfather kept roach clips in his pockets and had a perpetually squinty look in his eye), but they are still the same genial reprobates of albums like “Big BambĂș” and films like “Up in Smoke.”

Powell joined Skynyrd in 1973 and survived the 1977 plane crash that took the lives of band members Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines and several crew members. He left the group that same year and hooked up with the Christian rock band Vision. He rejoined Skynyrd in 1989 and remained a member until his death. Kid Rock inducted the band into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in March 13, 2006.

THE JESSICA ALBA - BILL O'REILLY - TMZ WARS

This is some awesome stuff FOXNEWS interviewed Jessica Alba at the Obama inauguration, where she called Bill Oreilly an "a-hole"... then it was on and it ingnited a global war of words that involved Sweden and Switzerland !!!

From Bittenandbound

O’Reilly retaliated by airing the clip on the “reality check” segment of his show.

While in D.C. Alba blogged about the inauguration, and asked one reporter what he thought was Obama’s greatest characteristic, advising him to “Be neutral…be Sweden.” TMZ posted the video, calling Alba an “arrogant buffoon,” and O’Reilly called her a “pinhead,” commenting that she must have confused Switzerland with Sweden.

Alba fought back on her blog with the following post:

Hey Guys,

Jay_eh here. I wanted to share with everyone in the ibeatyou and MySpace communities my experiences at the inauguration last week, so I put together a little video.

Before I get to the video, I want to clear some things up that have been bothering me lately. I find it depressing that in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country’s history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity. Last week, Mr. Bill O’Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people…it’s so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden_during_World_War_II if you want to see what I was referring to. I appreciate the name calling and the accurate reporting. Keep it up!!

TMZ then posted a tongue-in-cheek apology, saying “She is absolutely correct. Sweden was a neutral country … 60 years ago.”

“We apologize for not considering the political climate of the world in 1942 when we suggested she may have meant, “Be Switzerland” — a country that is currently neutral.”

WOW !- Jessica looks great why bother her with silly political opinion questions !

Who knew that Jamie Fox likes Bill Oreilly or that Demond Wilson dislikes Obama or that Demond Wilson was still on the planet. I loved his work on Sanford and Son "You big Dummy"

As part of my object remix series, this stereo forces the music source into the center of attention and creates a radically new user interface.

This would be a perfect compliment to the Christmas Story Leg Lamp !

GORDON BROWN - Saves The World ?

Gordon Brown has attempted to play down a slip of the tongue in which he said the government had "saved the world".

I only wish The US Congress could mock the President the way the UK parliament mocks it's prime minister !
